Joseph C. Lafayette, 73, of Kenosha passed away at home
surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
Born on August 15, 1947, in Kenosha, he was the son of
the late Chester Lafayette and Lillian (Robbins) Besch. He
received his education in local schools and was a lifetime
resident of Kenosha.
He enlisted in the United States Army and served in
Vietnam from 1967-1969. Also served in Guatemala, Panama and
Honduras within the 27 years of active duty and received the
National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and
Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was Honorably discharged.
He was employed as an assembler for American Motors. He
was a member of the VFW post 1865 and VFW Riders Group Post
1865. He loved his Motorcycle (his Indian Trike), helping the
community, camping, fishing, his garden and loved watching WWF
Wrestling on TV. He also enjoyed painting his garden decor,
decorating for Halloween and loved spending time with his
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Lafayette of Kenosha;
two sisters one brother: Lavina, Laverne and Robert; one son,
Ron; three Grandchildren: Joel, Trista and Draven; and two Great
Grandchildren: Jaceena, Aubriana. Preceded in death by five
siblings: Earl, John, Dorthy, Johannah and George; four
children: Kelly, Shannon, Joey and Kevin.
